This is me, Sandra! I study in Bukit View Secondary School and have these awesome friends,they are Xi wen, Kiat poh and Larissa.Apart from studying,i also love sports like running,swimming,canoeing and rock climbing which rocks!I would say that i'm a cheerful person and if i were a vegetable i would be a cucumber, not only because i like it but also because people always say that most of the time i'm calm therefore i call myself a cool cucumber.Well i aspire to become a medical social worker for kids as i love changing people lives for the better,helping kids as i have a passion for them.
Today my during Dg group time my whole sec 2 dg plus the guys visited the Red Cross Home for the disabled to sing some song and do some befriending for the patients.I didnt picture it to be like that,it was a 3 level home with about a 4 different wards on each level,the home was preety quiet until we came it faces a huge field so it is very nice.The thing that struck me was that most of them cannont respond to you,they are also tied to the bed,most to cannot it up,only about 3 could talk.It is really sad as they are like severly disabled when we tried to say hello,some would make wierd noises and almost all just stayed blanked and im not even sure if they know we are even there ,every bed has there name,diet,what launguage they can respond too and what they know or like.My whole experience there really humbles me on opens my eyes and just teaches me step out of my comfort zone no matter what.To be greatful and thankful,give thank to God for whatever you have and not what you dont have.
